Ame is my very first working dog from Kelly and Kim Berg of Kelim Huskies in New Hampshire. I had been in contact with the Bergs for a while waiting for the right time when I saw a puppy named "Meg" available on their website. Meg soon became Ame. I am very fortunate to have started my team with her, she is an extremely sweet, sassy, and intelligent dog. She is the best dog I could have asked for to start dabbling into sports with, I never expected to do so many events. Early on she was the perfect leader for my small pet team. As I got more dogs, Ame preferred running in team or wheel, though she still had leading capability and would pull a team gee or haw. Now Ame just enjoys being a spoiled house dog. Ame's name is from the animated movie Wolf Children.

​​Ame was the first Siberian Husky to earn DCAT and FCAT. Her personal best is 28.37mph. Ame held the record as the fastest Siberian Husky for 2017 and held the record as the #1 Siberian Husky bitch from 2017 through 2022 (years after she stopped competing).

​In 2017 the Eukanuba Performance Games was held in Wilmington Ohio. As part of the fast CAT trials they held a championship for the fastest sixteen dogs of each height class. Ame got 4th place on one of her runs, and that time earned her a spot in the top 16 for her class, though she did not proceed to the final 8 during the championships. I am proud all the same, my speedy girl accomplished a lot!
In dock diving through NADD Ame has earned:

Though Ame has never jumped out of novice, dock diving alone is a huge feat for a Siberian. Her personal best is 9'11". Ame was the first Siberian Husky to be ranked with NADD and be invited to Nationals not once, but twice. She won first place for the novice class during qualifier competitions two years in a row. She was the #1 Siberian Husky in 2018, though by default as she was the only ranked Siberian that year.
